PORTRAIT DRAWING WORKSHOP
Monday 12th August 2019 Bookings Now Open
ABOUT THE TUTOR
Lisa Nolan has a Bachelor of Fine Art (painting) from the Victorian College of the Arts, a Graduate Diploma of Education (Art & Craft) and an Associate Diploma in Finished Art from Melbourne CAE and Prahran TAFE respectively. Lisa’s work as a court artist has covered some of the most important and controversial cases in the last few decades, working for organisations such as News Limited, The Age (Fairfax media), The ABC and the Seven network. Her ability to produce recognisable likenesses under tight deadlines made her a popular choice for the most important court cases in Victoria and Tasmania.
In this workshop, you will be taken through exercises to learn to draw what you are actually seeing, rather than what you know is there. This will include blind contour drawing and learning to create areas of light and shadow. You will also learn how to use your materials effectively.
