REGIONAL COLLABORATION EXHIBITION

For the month of May the Red Door Gallery [on Fraser] hosts the first Regional Collaboration Exhibition for the year featuring a range of works from approx 44 local and regional artists and craftspeople to celebrate the annual Clunes Booktown Festival event. The Clunes Booktown Festival is all about celebrating books and the great conversations and big ideas that come from them and attracts thousands of visitors to the historic village of Clunes every year.
The official opening to the exhibition is Thursday 2nd May at 10.00 am however the Red Door Gallery hosts a special gathering on Friday 3rd at 6.30 pm to welcome the range of authors, and speakers visiting for the festival. There is so much happening in Clunes during the Booktown weekend (4th – 5th May) and it is with pleasure that The Red Door Gallery [on fraser] can bring together a range of talented artists and craftspeople from the region to exhibit their work for this occasion.
The scope of work on display is broad and includes a variety of mediums incorporating oils, textile art, acrylics, soft-furnishings, photography, metal work, sculpture, glasswork, ceramics, fashion accessories, woodwork, prints and ink/acrylic work.
To celebrate the book ‘artist style’ we also have a static display of art journals and hand made books by local and regional artists including Marjorie Anderson, Teresa Glenn, Nasci and Christine Lethlean and Rod Tregear.
