November 2nd – November 24th 2018 (Completed)
‘Capturing the spirit using Australian colours’ is the title of this months exhibition (November 2018). Recently retired from a career in education, Melbourne based artist Mary Anderson is now dedicating her time to a new found passion, painting. This exhibition is a culmination of a years work and comprises 28 mixed artworks and is a ‘must see’ display.
Mary’s preferred medium is watercolour on Yupo paper and together these two materials enhance her talent and eye for composition and detail. Mary brings a fresh and light-filled approach to her work and with her preferred option of white frames these artworks would undoubtably brighten any space.
This is Mary’s inaugural exhibition and we at The Red Door Gallery [on fraser] are proud to host this exquisite body of work for the public. Mary’s exhibition officially opens on Saturday November 2nd at 2.00pm. There is a range of sizes of framed works in a variety of themes including small triptychs.
Mary has also produced a range of printed gift cards for sale. A small percentage of each card purchased will be a donation to the local Clunes Primary School.
